The interior is finished in black vinyl, with a couple of desirable options, including a full console and SS gauges with a 5,600-rpm tachometer. Under the hood is a 70-72 NOM 396/402, paired with a Muncie 4-speed manual transmission, sending power to a 12-bolt posi rear end — a strong, engaging big-block combination that gives this Chevelle real muscle car credibility. This Chevelle was purchased locally by a gentleman who has been driving and enjoying it for the last 5 years. Before that, the car was brought here from Utah around 2015, at which point it had previously been restored to its current specifications. This Chevelle remains a great driver's car, retaining its original body, which was resprayed in its current Cranberry Red color. Mechanically, the car runs and drives incredibly. The paint is straight and clean, though it does show some scattered chips from being genuinely driven and enjoyed over the years — the honest wear of a car that's been used as intended rather than trailered to shows.
