Another beautiful Basil Classic... this 1969 Buick Skylark showing 27,496 miles has been handpicked and meets Joe Basil's standards of excellence and tradition of fine automobiles since 1951.
This 1969 Buick Skylark has been built into a stunning GS Stage 1 clone, finished in its original Buick color — beautiful Cameo Cream paired with a black vinyl roof. The paint and body were refinished a few years back and present in excellent condition, giving this Skylark true show-quality curb appeal. The rolling stance is handled by a set of polished American Racing wheels wrapped in performance rubber, and the original wheels also come with the car—giving the next owner the flexibility to run either look, whichever suits their taste. Popping the hood reveals a 1970-vintage 455-cubic-inch V8 wearing correct GS Stage 1 air cleaner graphics, linked to a Turbo 400 automatic transmission and backed by a 12-bolt rear end. This serious powertrain combination delivers the big-block muscle this GS clone promises. The car is equipped with power steering and power brakes, and the underside is described as rock solid with great stainless throughout, reflecting the level of care that's gone into this build. Inside, the black vinyl interior features Skylark-embroidered seats and a factory-style dash, dressed up with an add-on tachometer and a trio of Equus gauges (oil pressure, water temp, and volts) mounted low on the dash for easy monitoring of the big-block's vitals. The car is also equipped with factory air conditioning, though it is not currently hooked up — a great project for a buyer looking to have cold air blowing through those vents once again. Rounding out the package, this Skylark comes with its original 1969 Buick owner's manual and a copy of the factory Buick price sheet, showing that this car was originally optioned with a 350 V8, console, power disc brakes, and air conditioning. This GS Stage 1 clone offers the perfect blend of classic Buick styling, big-block muscle, and excellent overall condition — a great option for the enthusiast seeking something a little different from the usual muscle-car crowd.
