Another beautiful Basil Classic... this 1980 Chevrolet Camaro showing 901 miles has been handpicked and meets Joe Basil's standards of excellence and tradition of fine automobiles since 1951.
Some Camaros are restored. This 1980 Z28 has been reimagined. Finished in silver with a black hood stripe and "Silver Bullet" lettering across the rear spoiler, it pairs the classic late-'70s Z28 look with serious modern-day hardware. It's a street machine built to be driven and heard. Under the hood, the 383 badge on the cowl hood tells you what's waiting. The engine bay is a showpiece of polished and chrome detail, with red-painted valve covers, an Edelbrock carburetor, a polished dual-pod air intake, and an MSD ignition. Braided stainless lines, chrome accessories, a chrome master cylinder, and a flexible chrome air duct keep the presentation clean and purposeful, and the fit and finish are well above what you'd expect to find on a typical street build. Power is routed through an automatic, topped with a white Hurst-style shift knob with black racing stripes. For a car with this much torque, the extra gears make it as enjoyable on the highway as on a back road—the Camaro rides on polished American Racing five-spoke wheels wrapped in Cooper Cobra tires. Behind the spokes, you can see red-painted brake calipers that add a pop of color and complement the engine bay. The black interior is both period-correct and upgraded for the driver, including a Grant GT steering wheel, an updated gauge cluster with a brushed aluminum face plate featuring an electronic speedometer and tachometer, an Auto Meter Autogage oil pressure, voltmeter, and water temperature gauges mounted in a chrome pod on the console, an Auto Meter Autogage 5" tachometer with shift light mounted on the dash, a Sony CD player, Black bucket seats and console, and custom black floor mats with gold dragon graphics. The odometer reads just 901 miles, reflecting the work done to the car rather than the original mileage. The silver paint is clean and deep, with the black hood stripe, black window trim, and Z28 graphics creating a sharp, aggressive contrast. The rear spoiler and tail lamps retain the unmistakable 1980 Camaro profile, and the car sits at a perfect stance with its wide rear tires. Whether you're a Camaro enthusiast, a fan of well-built street cars, or looking for something you can drive and show with pride, this Silver Bullet is ready to deliver. Custom-built Z28s with this level of attention to detail are a rare find.
