This beautiful British MG is finished it Clipper Blue exterior paint that is paired with a tan/khaki removable fabric top and wrapped in white wall tires which add to the classic look. On the interior the seats, dashboard and door panels match the tan colored top, and all the leather/vinyl is in amazing condition. Inside of the small side opening hood is a 1.3L inline 4-cylinder engine which is paired to a 4-speed manual transmission. Featuring a modified hypoid-geared rear axle, the MG Y-type chassis, a familiar T-type style body and independent suspension on front axle using coil springs from the MG Y-type saloon which resulted in a striking difference in comfort compared to other MG models. For night driving, instrument illumination was "effective but not dazzling, by a pale green lighting effect". There was still no fuel gauge, but the 14.5-gal tank capacity gave a range between refueling stops of about 300 miles and a green light on the facia flashed a "warning" when the fuel level was down to about 3 gallons. Adding to the look and functionality is a rear trunk mounted matching spare tire that is brand new. This MG was professionally restored about 10-15 years ago, and everything is still almost brand new. Located in the glove box is the original pair of white driving gloves that was included when this car was brand new. You can tell this car was always stored inside and never driven in rain or bad weather. Only produced from 1950-1953, you will be hard pressed to find one as period correct and as nice as this one!
